Apologetics and Catechesis Links

When we meet friends and family who may not share our beliefs, it is prudent to have a good knowledge of our faith, or at least a good idea of where to find the answers! It is never simply a matter of 'knowing' the doctrines of the faith, though.

At any and every time of year, we are called to be 'the light of the world' and to 'go out and preach to all people'. How can we answer those calls if we do not know our faith, or how to teach it so others will understand?

This is what apologetics is for. Not to intimidate us with the learning and scholarship of those who have written it, (though I'll admit, sometimes it does!) but to inform and assist us as we live in the world and try to be its light.
